mceBackup 2.0
I have finally got round to getting a beta version of mceBackup 2.0 out. This is totally new version of my backup tool for Media Center
Features:
- Backs up TV channel assignment
- Backs up Scheduled recordings and series recordings
- Backs up recorded TV to local drives, or networked drives (via UNC paths)
- Backup up an additional folder
- Has its own schedule engine for automating backups
- Displays the status of critical Media Center services
- Command line and GUI version available, 10 foot version coming soon
- Works with Vista and XP
- Can be used to transfer settings from one Media Center PC to another
Requires .net framework 2.0 to be installed

Getting it working with Vista was a real challenge with the changes to user access security!
You say you can use it to copy settings from one MCE to another, but will this work to backup your settings from a WinXP MCE -> a clean install of Vista’s MCE?
yes Andrew, backup on XP and restore on a clean install of Vista,I have tested it a while ago, I will test it again with the RTM build of Vista
hey thnx for the great app i have a question , if i use analog channels and backup my VMC will a restore on another PC restore also these channels and the channel guide attached to each of them?
not sure on the channel settings. I don’t think it will

Imported vehicles are becoming a part of the selling and buying economy of vehicles in Namibia, Africa however that is only forming one part of the car dealerships in the mentioned country. More and more people want to sell or trade in their vehicles for new or better ones and who can provide good and professional service than the second hand car dealerships that know exactly what the client needs and wants, not to mention to give them the proper price for their trade in or vehicle that they want to sell. The market for used cars in Namibia is growing fast and amazingly so, there just cannot be enough pre-owned car dealerships since more and more people want to sell their vehicles and they do not get a good price for their vehicle when selling it to the original manufacturer, they would rather go to a second hand car dealership who will give them a very good price, advice and customer service that they need and expect!
